Babylonstoren approached 4i to design and build them an app that linked an extensive plant database with user generated content that would be easy to access and fun to use. We did multiple levels of usability testing from low- and hi-fidelity prototypes to the completed product at different stages in development. Listening to actual user feedback and doing multiple and frequent releases helped us do ongoing UX improvements to both apps.
I was heavily involved with listening to client’s problems and requests and, by working closely with the dev team, coming up with UX and UI solutions. In the end the product had to be as intuitive as possible because of the community it served, with native iOS and Android designs helping to achieve that.
